Roger and Brenda Daum have been married for over 48 years. They have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. Roger has been a pastor for 30 years, serving in 3 churches in Nebraska. In 2006, the Daum's founded Restoration Ministries in Cozad, Nebraska. They specialize in counseling and coaching couples, individuals, and families to help them strengthen relationships. They also hold training seminars designed to help people resolve emotional and spiritual problems that hinder them from giving and receiving love as God intends, as well as teaching people how to help others resolve issues that hinder relationships.

SESSION TOPICS: Session 1 - The Importance of Prioritizing Your Marriage Understand why it is so important to prioritize the marriage relationship and the benefits of prioritizing one's marriage. What are practical ways to prioritize your marriage, so you enjoy your marriage for a lifetime? Session 2 - Communication Tools What are three communication tools that will help you communicate to understand one another and feel understood by one another? Using these tools, enhance unity in relationships. Session 3 - Developing Intimacy in Marriage What is intimacy and what is needed to develop spiritual, emotional, and physical closeness in a marriage? What are three necessary ingredients to develop intimacy and how can closeness in a marriage relationship be restored? Session 4 - Guarding the Core Belief System and Renewing the Mind with God's Truth When people experience heartbreaking events, trauma, or abuses in life or relationships, those experiences are like a double-edged sword that wound the heart and instill a lie in their core belief system. Those wounds and negative thoughts tied to those painful events adversely affect relationships. What can we do to overcome those negative thoughts impacting marriage and family relationships? Session 5 - Circles of Responsibility This truth empowers people to undertand what to do to work through conflict in life and relationships and avoid taking responsibility that doesn't belong to them.
